Richmond Ballet Apollo and Windows
Windows, the signature work of Stoner Winslett, is part of MINDS WIDE OPEN: Virginia Celebrates Women in the Arts. Originally choreographed for an all female cast, Windows gives the audience a glimpse into the major eras in the development of ballet. In George Balanchine’s Apollo, the young god is visited and instructed by the muses of poetry, mime, dance and song.

University Jazz Orchestra I
Under the direction of Director of Jazz Studies Antonio García, the award winning VCU Jazz Orchestra is a diverse group of VCU Jazz Studies students dedicated to playing and writing jazz music. The orchestra performs regularly in the Richmond area and at VCU, has six recordings and has won top honors in four appearances at the Notre Dame Intercollegiate Jazz Festival.

John V. Moeser, is Senior Fellow, Bonner Center for Civic Engagement at the University of Richmond and Professor Emeritus of Urban Studies & Planning with Virginia Commonwealth University. Moeser was one of the architects of the district-based voting plan that won approval for the City of Richmond’s 2003 elected-mayor referendum.
